2nd Semester Updates
Dual Language/Bilingual Programs
Dual Language Program Videos
With the five TLD Prototype Schools,
the APOLO/DL Office has conducted
 introductory parent meetings
 school site teacher support meetings on
TLD Proficiency Targets and Can Do
statements
On a recent visit to Alexander
Science Center, we
 observed TLD lessons
 interviewed students using the MOPI
protocol from ACTFL
 As expected, the students were right on
target with our proposed proficiency
targets for EO/FEPs in the SDLP
We look forward to visiting the rest of
the Prototype Schools this semester.

We are excited to
welcome our new
Secondary DLP
Specialist, who has
been with us since January 12 to support
our Secondary Dual Language Programs.
She has been visiting schools to meet
with teachers and to identify areas of
need for our secondary programs. She
is currently planning a Secondary DLP
PD for March.
