dhonis designed by divers for divers, which means there’s more space on the liveaboard and you get to dive sites on

Renowned for those famous manta rays and whale sharks yet the Maldives has so much more to offer; reef sharks,
turtles, Napoleons, corals, thilas, ship wrecks, macro fauna and plenty of shoals of colourful fish life. Spectacular
night dives give a different dimension with mantas and sharks often drawn by the light to the back of the boat.
With a choice of two of the best routes, ‘Best of Maldives’ (5 atolls classic and south ) and ‘Deep South’ expedition,
here is where you discover the real Maldives. Included is a barbeque dinner under the stars, after-diving lectures
about the country and marine biology (Manta Trust, Whale Shark Project), underwater photos and videos along
with, if you choose, snorkelling, fishing or yoga.

North and South Male atolls, Vaavu, North and South Ari and
Rasdoo.
Manta cleaning stations, thilas, channels to observe pelagics and
sharks, snorkel and diving in search of the whale shark, dive
surrounded by hundreds of yellow snappers, visit a ship wreck
with plenty of macro and enjoy night dives with mantas and
sharks just centimetres from you.

Specialists on this route
For 11 years Marilen and Marc have been guiding on this route and highly
recommend it for shark lovers as it offers plenty of pelagic action, shoals of jacks,
tuna fish and fun drift dives on coral reefs with plenty of green turtles, Napoleons
and eagle and sting rays and mantas in Addu. Then there’s the largest shipwreck
in the Maldives, the British Loyalty, and even night snorkelling with the whale
shark that often comes to feed at the back of the boat.

To mark your epic diving, Marilen and Mark will shoot a video of the week to
share with you, free of charge, with underwater pictures, land group photo and
dive log of the trip. Bring your hard disk or SD card to copy your images and video
of the trip.
Emperor Maldives with Marilen and Marc
From November 2016 to April 2017 you can join Marilen and Marc on three liveaboards from the Emperor Maldives
fleet. Each is contemporary, extremely comfortable and welcoming.
Accommodating groups from 18 to 22 people all in double cabins and suites with ensuites, air conditioning, spacious
lounges, international cuisine and fully licensed bar with beer, wine and spirits.
All boats have their own dive dhoni where all diving equipment and compressors are stored. Designed by divers for
divers, the dhoni has all safety elements such as 50lts water, first aid kit, GPS plotter, the comfort of various exits,
adapted ladder, toilet, showers and drinking water.

Dive Requirements for all Emperor liveaboards:
Maldivian authorities state that the maximum depth for diving in the Maldives is restricted to 30 metres. All divers are required to carry a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) and a dive computer on
every dive. Reefs hooks are recommended.
Emperor Fleet recommend that to get the most from our trips and participate in all the dives offered you are certified to 30 metres and are a Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent.
Courses, Specialities and Adventure Dives are offered on-board. Please enquire for further information.
BEST OF MALDIVES: You don't need a minimum number of dives to join this trip however you should be comfortable with drift dives. Currents can be strong. All your diving is made from
dhonis or zodiacs to give precise entry and exits points. Experienced divers can dive in a buddy pair unguided.
DEEP SOUTH & CENTRAL SOUTH: These itineraries suit experienced divers (100+ dives) with a strong focus on drift diving. All your diving is made from dhonis to give precise entry and
exits points. Currents can be strong.
All diving guests joining a Liveaboard are required to sign a self-declaration medical. If you have, or think you have, any of the medical conditions listed you will need signed clearance from
a doctor valid within 12 months of your planned liveaboard. Where doctor’s clearance is needed, we ask you to arrange this before arrival where possible and to bring it with you to avoid
any delays, additional costs or even missing the trip.
Transfers
Transfers to the boat are at 11.00am, 16.00pm or 22.30pm from Male airport. Check in on for the boat will not commence prior to 13:00pm. Check out times are at 07.00am & 09.00 am on
the last day of the cruise. You will be in the airport by 07:30 & 09:30 am accordingly. If you are continuing your vacation in the Maldives at a resort, hotel of other live-aboard, your ongoing
transfers will be arranged from the airport. We will not be able to arrange direct transfers from the boat to resorts.
