THE GREEN KITCHEN
Golden Tulip Keyser Breda is awarded with a Green Key environmental certificate. This means that we consciously
deal with nature and the environment and that we strive for sustainability on many fronts.
The past, the focus on healthy, tasty, but also sustainably produced food continues to increase.
So we have tried to process products in our menu that are fair, but also delicious.
Menu
The products we serve are fresh from the land, pure taste and mostly organic, unsprayed and cultivated by
local entrepreneurs. The products under this label are seasonal products. They are not available all year
round, but only at the moment they are the most delicious. Many of these products are picked up the farm such as
asparagus, strawberries and summer fruits from the Rith.
Organic
For many of our meals at the restaurant we use organic ingredients. These are often also delicious local products.
For example our cheeses from cheese farm Bastiaansen from Molenschot and delicious organic cheese and abbey
Cloosterkaas from Henry Konijn.
Fair trade
Restaurant Orange deliberately chooses for fair trade. Where possible we buy fair trade products to contribute to
better society. Fair trade products can be found within our chocolate dishes but also on our breakfast buffet with
chocolate sprinkles, chocolate spread and peanut butter.
MSC fish
Sustainable fish product: Restaurant Orange mostly uses fish and shellfish (such as shrimp, cod, clams and oysters)
to minimize damage to the marine life and has little over catch.
Vegetarian
Our menu includes a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. But also dishes that can be adapted to vegetarian dishes.
Wonderful flavors and full of fresh vegetables, for example our Caprese salad with a mix of colors and sizes of these
wild tomatoes, grown in open ground by Jeroen Rijpkema farmer from Osdorp. Served with real fresh Buffalo
mozzarella and basil oil.
US Beef
Our Premium US Grain - Fed Beef comes from the Aberdeen Angus and the Texas Longhorn breed and it is among the
herbs to eat the meadows. In the final phase, the cattle get a carefully balanced diet of grain. The meat is therefore
slightly marbled with fat, which melt during grilling and so the meat gives an extra tender and juicy taste.
The US cattle, which supply beef for export to the EU shall be at least one hundred days fed with grain. So 100 % pure,
no added hormones and antibiotics free, Halal and EU accredited.
Sustainability and respect for the environment are our focus!
