IS THIS THE BRISBANE SOUND?? PHOTO: Gary Warner A PUBLIC DISCUSSION ABOUT A PLACE WHERE ART, MUSIC AND MEMORY COLLIDE Thursday 6 March 6-8pm, free entry A very public forum, which will commence with a screening of ‘In a Vision of Hell’ by Peter Macpherson (featuring Tex Deadly and the Dum Dums, This 5 Minutes, The Pits, Mystery of Sixes, Pork and many more) and lead to a panel discussion on ‘The Brisbane Sound’. This will, hopefully, degenerate into a slinging match of name-calling and unresolved sexual tension, and then almost certainly end with expressions of deep regret and assurances that this will never happen again. The panel of guests will include: Irena and Valentina Luckus (the lost arts embodied), John Willsteed (musician) and Ross Harley (thinker). Faces in the crowd will include David Pestorius, Ian Gray, Mark Louttit, Deb Beattie and some scary people who haven’t been out of the house for a while. Come along, put YOUR face in the crowd, have a drink AND your two cents worth! Exhibition and concerts supported by Brisbane City Council and publication by Arts Queensland.
