DESCRIPTION
Indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in
poultry and swine susceptible to amoxicillin.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Animals treated should not have access to another
water source during treatment. Apply from 15 to 20 mg
of active ingredient per kg of body weight.
Poultry: Dissolve 100 g in 450 liters of fresh drinking
water. This dosage will provide medication up to 5,000
kg of weight per a day. Administer medicated drinking
water each third day (two-day medication). In severe
cases, administer every third day during 5 days (3-day
medication).
Ducks: Administer in drinking water 20 mg/kg of weight.
Administration should be every third day, during 3
days (two-day medication). Due to the water that is
swallowed varies, depending of the temperature, light
and feeding regimen, exact dilution can not be given.
Anyways, the amount of Diramox® Soluble should be
calculated taking on account the swallowed water and
the total weight of the involved ducks.
Swine: Apply daily in drinking water 20/mg/kg of weight.
Dose should be divided and administer in intervals of
12 hours approximately, during 5 days.
Turkeys: Apply in drinking water from 15 to 20 mg of
amoxicillin per kg of weight. Administration should be
administered during 5 days on an alternating basis
(3-day medication). The dose should be calculated
considering the normal amount of water to be drunk
and the total weight of the involved turkeys.
Drinking water oral application.
PRECAUTION
- Do not administer in animals with penicillin allergy
background.
-Withdrawal period:
Poultry: 24 hours.
Turkeys: 5 days.
Ducks: 7 days.
Swine: 24 hours
-Do not consume eggs from poultry that have been
treated up to 24 hours after the last treatment.
