about!having!fun,!without!pressure,!so!that!children!can!establish!a!positive!association!
with!learning!a!new!language.!The!most!important!requirement!of!a!successful!language!
class!is!that!the!content!make!the!students!smile!as!bright!as!little!stars!!
ABOUT ME:
I"am"native"San"Franciscan,"raised"in"a"Spanish"speaking"home."My"mother"and"grandmother"
were"firm"believers"of"preserving"our"culture."As"a"child,"I"fought"their"theory"for"a"while."As"an"
adult,"I"am"eternally"grateful"for"their"perseverance"and"for"not"giving"in"to"mine!"Being"bilingual"
has"opened"twice"as"many"doors"for"me."
I"have"14"years"of"extensive"experience"teaching"in"both"English"and"Spanish"to"children"ages"
Toddlers"through"Elementary."I"have"worked"with"children"throughout"the"Bay"Area"designing"
and"implementing"Spanish"music"and"movement"programs."My"experience"includes"having"
worked"as"Lead"Teacher"and"Director/Administrator"of"a"language"immersion"school."Having"
completed"studies"in"Child"Development"and"Education,"I"continue"to"take"courses"for"inspiration"
and"knowledge.""
