So happy with our beautiful lady Sophia/Honey we adopted back in April. She
has really come out of her shell and has become the happiest silliest pup. She
absolutely loves running around on the beach! We take her out on the lake in
our boat and after a little dip, she naps in the sun and watches ducks swim by.
She loves to wrestle and throw her toys to herself and run and catch them in the
air. We love her so much. She loves people and snuggling and other dogs and
cats. Absolutely couldn't imagine my life without her. So lucky to have found her.
Thank you so much Animal Sanctuary Society for saving her.

The Animal Sanctuary Society, Inc. is proud to be a safe haven to animals. We provide vet care, medicine, surgeries, food, shelter and other necessities to our animals
until the day they are adopted. We will not euthanize an animal because no one is
adopting him or her by a certain time. This is possible because of generous public donations and support from caring people like yourself.

A few of our Happy Tails!
When Jarrod saw Donner’s picture, he couldn’t wait to meet
him. He had lost his beloved cat due to old age, who looked
just like Donner. Their meeting was magical! Donner will
continue to make Jarrod’s life magical and
mend his heart.
Slater Finds Love with a Perfect Family
Slater was rescued from a high volume shelter that euthanizes for space. This super loving family are people
who have stopped safely on 95 to help a stray dog when
everyone else passed it by. When this family met Slater at
Petsmart, they couldn’t stop thinking about him even
though they were on vacation. It had been two years
since their last dog passed away. They had also rescued
their last dog from a shelter. Slater will be going on
many long walks with his new family.
Mickey aka Harley and 5 other dogs where chained outside with no food.
Their owners were charged with animal cruelty. Mickey was in the worst condition of all. He could barely stand up and almost didn’t make it. But look at
him now. A new name, new terrific pet parents, and a fantastic new life full
of love, comfort, and plenty of food.
Raleigh aka Jolene is doing amazingly with her new big sister Georgia Peach. As you know Georgia can still
be very timid & I think Raleigh senses this emotion and becomes very protective of her. She will stand right
next to her or lay on top of her. I feel very blessed to have such an amazing fur family. Everyone in my family just loves Raleigh and her personality, her tail hasn’t stopped wagging since I brought her home. She has
made such a big impact on my family in such a small amount of time. When I go to my mom’s house and
see my brother get stressed out; before I can speak to him, she jumps up in his lap, cuddles with him and
she helps him calm down. Thank you again for blessing me with these two wonderful dogs.

Hoping for a Loving Home this Holiday
Corrina has a very stunning and unique wire haired coat. She has an active
personality and would love to play Frisbee and go for long walks. If you need a
dog who will be your protector, she is the one for you!
Buff is a beautiful cat with soft amber eyes and creamy
fur. He is adorable with a cute gentle rabbit face & nose.
He is sweet and loving and would like to live in a quiet home.
Livvy is a stunning girl with awesome markings. Her face is
adorable. She was rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter
and deserves a great home. She would love to stay active and
go for a jog with you.
Dasha has the most bright golden eyes and shiny
black fur. She was raised in a home with children
and would love to be around them again. She
would like to be an only pet.
A heartfelt thank you to all those who have helped us in so
many ways this year. Volunteers who have generously given
their time with fundraising, fostering, donations, adoptions, etc.
We thank Murphy’s Market, Print-Fast, Petsmart, Walmart,
and United Way supporters for their generosity as well. All the
animals are very grateful for your assistance.

We Want To Take This Time to Thank Our Service Men and
Women Presently Serving Our Country, and our Veterans for
their past service.
Throughout the years, Animal Sanctuary Society has helped many, whether it
was placing their pets in loving homes because they were sent overseas to Iraq,
Afghanistan, Japan, or other locations, or helping veterans find the right pet for
them and their families upon returning home.
Here Peanut is with his new adoptive family. Peanut will be very comforting especially to
this young veteran who has served our country both on Iraq and Afghanistan.

Memorials
We will miss you. Thank you for your loyalty, companionship and
the joy you brought our family. Forever in our hearts!
Diana, a dedicated volunteer, her beloved Casey died at 15 years old. Casey was her loving co-pilot who went on many long trips to NY state visiting Diana’s mother. Whenever
Diana talked about Casey her eyes lit up. When Casey died, Diana emailed us that she was
the love of her life. After several months of healing, we were thrilled when Diana opened
her heart & home to adopt three black and white look alike cats from us that had been
waiting for a new home; Beasley, Oreo, & Stache. The happy picture reminds us of the TV ad with several look alike white cats.
Thanks again Diana for being such a dedicated volunteer & for Oreo
loving so much & giving the three boys the best home ever.

Karen, another superstar volunteer, lost her
Dear Cinder to old age. She saved Cinder just in
the nick of time from being euthanized at a local
animal shelter. Cinder was a beautiful butterfly
who truly was part of the family. She also loved
car rides to PA with her human and dog family.
Stella, the little Chihuahua, was found to have a serious defect in her intestines
and had to be humanely euthanized. She had a lifetime of love in her short time
on this earth with animal lovers, Amy & her family. She travelled to the beach
with them & went on long hikes being cuddled & carried in a pouch in her petmom’s arms. When we all think of Stella we should all smile, because she would
want us to not cry.
Charlotte’s beloved pets, Mutton & Simba. Mutton lived to be 19
years old and Simba lived close to 18 years. Charlotte loved them both
very much!
In October, Bones’ Petparent came home to find Bones’ had passed away. He was an
older cat. His petparent used to walk him on a leash to go to the bathroom because he
wouldn’t use the litter box but preferred to go outside like a dog. His petparent will
miss him terribly. They had a special connection.
Marianne, also with Animal Sanctuary Society, lost her dear dog at about 17 years. Her Dad had adopted
her from us when she was already an old dog. We had rescued her from a shelter to avoid her being euthanized. When Marianne’s Dad passed away, she of course took the dog to live with her and her husband. Marianne took very good care of her even taking her to an eye specialist. No picture is available but
she was a beautiful white dog with a beautiful personality to match.
