Trail Ambassador – year round
Orion Oaks County Park
Monday – Friday during the day.
Duties include walking the trails on foot, promoting safe and proper use of the trails by providing information
to visitors on Park rules and policies.
Uniform: reflective vest, name tag, closed-toe shoes
Dog Park Ambassador – year round
Red Oaks, Lyon Oaks and Orion Oaks Dog Parks
The schedule is Monday – Friday from 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, or 3pm-5pm
Duties include walking the dog park area and interacting with park patrons. Explain park rules, policies and
promote programs and events.
Uniform: reflective vest, name tag, closed-toe shoes

Glen Oaks, Red Oaks, and Springfield Oaks Golf Courses
Various shifts available at each course, one shift per week.
Various positions available at each course – Player Assistant at Lyon, Starter/Ranger and Cart Attendant
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license to be a cart attendant. 18 years of age
or older to be a Starter/Ranger.
Uniform: green volunteer shirt, name tag

Tee Service Volunteer at Lyon Oaks Golf Course
This is a seasonal volunteer position working 5 hours a day from 6a.m. – 11a.m. Your duties include moving
the tee markers, emptying the trash cans, filling the divots; and performing other duties as needed.
Must have good communication skills to answer questions from park visitors. The ability to work outside in all
weather conditions for extended periods of time.
All tools and supplies will be provided by the park. Training will be provided by park staff.

Ellis Barn “Open Door Tours”
Ellis Barn, inside Springfield Oaks County Park – 12451 Andersonville Road, Davisburg, MI 48350
6:00p.m. – 8:30p.m.
Volunteers needed: 2 per shift, would like to use the same volunteers for the season
No appointments needed for potential renters to tour the barn. Volunteers would need to provide general
information, log visitors’ names and contact info and distribute rental info packets and promotional items.

Thursday, June 15
Summer Sizzler – An evening with dinner, lawn games, and boat rides, music and a park naturalist for
individuals with developmental disabilities.

Assist with greeting guests, help serve food and beverages, event set-up and tear down as needed.

Firefly Frenzy – a family event with music, Firefly night hike, glow games, firefly crafts and more!

Assist with outdoor crafts, night hike, snacks, parking, glow games, glow putt putt and event set-up and tear
down as needed.

Red, White & Blue Picnic – An evening with dinner, lawn games, music and a park naturalist for individuals
with developmental disabilities.

History Center – History Corps Volunteers are sought to work in the History Center to complete inventory,
restoration and cataloging the artifacts.
Please note we will be at different locations this year:

music, activities and snacks.
