How to use the Search Feature on Workforce Solutions Alamo Provider Map
1. Locate the search icon in the
upper right corner of the map.
It looks like this:
7. To see your full results, click the “x” of the search
box or select “close”, both these options will close
the box so you can see your results.
2. Click the icon. It will bring up the following
search box:
8. To see a specific facility, click on the marker or on
the list to the right of the map. This will pop up the
facility’s information:
3. To be sure all Providers will be listed, first change the
Maximum search results to 1,000:
4. Pick the criteria you wish to search by. There is a
dropdown list to choose from:
*Tip: Click the Directions link (as seen in blue above)
to get directions and approximate travel time to or
from the Facility to any address you provide.
9. You can also use the list to the right side of the map.
If you click on the facility name, it will take you to the
location and open up the information as seen above.
This will only show the facilities matching your
search criteria.
5. Next you will put in the results you wish to see. This
goes in the blank space after “contains”.
10. To narrow your search criteria by Accreditation
Status, use the check boxes at the top left of the
map.
6. Once you finish setting your criteria, click the
“Search” button.
11. To start a new search, be sure “All” is checked at
the top left of the map, then click the search icon
and select the “reset” button. Now you are able to
follow the same directions for a new search

Workforce Solutions Alamo Provider Map Examples
Criteria 1: Jane wants to find a Texas Rising Star Provider near her home. She lives in Converse.
1. The search criteria would be:
2. Once she clicks “Search” and closes the search box, the map zooms into her
selected range.
This shows all the facilities with addresses in Converse. To narrow this data
down to only Texas Rising Star facilities within Converse, we would use the
selection buttons at the top left corner of the map.
The map defaults to select all. If we want just Texas Rising Star providers,
we would need to uncheck “All” and only check “Texas Rising Star”
3. This narrows the facilities down to only Texas Rising Star facilities with a Converse address.
Workforce Solutions Alamo Provider Map Examples
Criteria 1: Larry wants to find all accredited providers within 5 miles of his work. He works in zip code (postal code)
78205.
1. The search criteria would be:
2. Once he clicks “Search” and closes the search box, the map zooms into his
selected range.
This shows all the facilities with addresses within 5 miles of 78205. To
narrow this data down to only Accredited Facilities within 5 miles of 78205,
we would use the selection buttons at the top left corner of the map.
The map defaults to select all. If we want just Texas Rising Star providers,
we would need to uncheck “All” and only check “Nationally Accredited,
Texas Rising Star, and Texas School Ready!”
3. This narrows the facilities down to only Accredited Facilities within his search parameters.

Criteria 1: Bob and Betty want to find a facility within Frio County.

3. The column to the right of the map shows the names of the providers within this
search criteria. If Bob and Betty click on the names of the facilities, it will take
them to the location and open up the information box:

Criteria 1: Rachel wants to find a facility that will serve her 8 month old child (infant) and is within 1 mile of the area
code 78205.
1. The search criteria would be:
*When searching for age groups, put “Yes” in the blank box if
you want to search for a facility who serves that age group. This
is not representative of openings within that age group at the
facility. For information on if the facility has current availability
in any age group, please contact the facility.
2. Once she clicks “Search” and closes the search box, the map
zooms into her selected range.
3. The column to the right of the map shows the names of the
providers within this search criteria. If she clicks on the names of
the facilities, it will take them to the location and open up the
information box. This box will give the parent contact information
of the facility, address, ages served, and accreditation status.
