WESLEY LIONS
ADULT GYMNASTICS
The Wesley Lions Adult Gymnastics program is currently the largest registered adult program in
Victoria. Our gym is fully-equipped with Olympic men’s and women’s apparatus, in-ground
trampoline, full-size sprung floor and foam pit. Our coaches are fully qualified and experienced
professionals and our fully structured classes are offered year round (no term breaks). Our
program aims to improve strength, fitness, and flexibility and offers skill development on all
apparatus with the emphasis of fundamentals, fun, friendship and safety.
So come and try us out – Trial Class $20 or free if you become a member on your trial night

MEMBERSHIP/INSURANCE
All participants must become affiliated members of Wesley Lions Gymnastics Club. Membership
includes affiliation with Gymnastics Victoria and Gymnastics Australia and Personal Accident
Insurance which expires 31 December. Membership fees are due on attendance of your
second class.

A minimum of 5 sessions can be bought in advance and can only be purchased by registered

IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION
2014 DATES
Classes run from Monday 13 January to Friday 12 December.
MASTERS GYMNASTICS
Once a year we host the Wesley Lions Masters Spectacular. This is an invitational competition
which offers our class participants the opportunity to experience competitive gymnastics in a
friendly environment. Categories include Participation (just for fun), Novice (new competitor)
and Veteran (ex-competitor). This year’s event will be held on Saturday 5 July.
NO CLASS
Wesley College is closed on public holidays so we don’t run classes. We are also closed midyear from Monday 7 July to Friday 11 July for gym maintenance.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
For your own safety and the safety of other participants, if you arrive after the official start of the
class you may not be permitted to join in.
UNIFORM
For your own safety and comfort we ask that participants wear appropriate clothing during class.
This may include leggings/shorts and t-shirt or singlet. The following should NOT be worn socks, denim, skirts, dresses and/or clothing with zips or buttons, ties, belts, watches or
jewellery.
HYGIENE
During the warmer months please be considerate of others and bring a sweat towel.
AGE RESTRICTION
Participants must be 18 years or over.
INJURY RISK
Gymnastics is a high injury risk sport and we recommend new participants come with a base of
strength and flexibility which will be further developed in the classes through regular attendance.

Car parking is available on school grounds. Enter via Gate 3 on Punt Road and the gym is
