A new engaged learning class that uses the history of Boston’s
Chinatown as a case study to explore the experiences of
Chinese immigrants in Boston and the US from the late 1800s
until the present. Open to students in all concentrations who
are concurrently participating in a Harvard-affiliated service
program involving Chinese Americans or recent Chinese
immigrants in the greater Boston area. Capped at 12.
