Petersburg. Russia’s imperial capital is an almost unrivaled treasure trove of art and culture. The capital of Finland, Helsinki has a quirky charm that

August 12, 2017 - Your Journey Begins!
Today, you board your international flight bound for Copenhagen,
Denmark!
August 13, 2017 - Copenhagen
On arrival in Copenhagen, you’ll be assisted with your hotel transfer and
check in. You have the remainder of the day at your leisure to relax and
freshen up or to begin to explore this historic city on your own.
Overnight: Copenhagen
August 14, 2017 - Come Sail Away!
After breakfast, set out on an included city tour of Copenhagen. See
Amalienborg Palace, the winter home of the Danish Royal family, the
Marble Church with the largest dome in Scandinavia and Nyhavn, the
colorful 17th century waterfront. After your tour, you’ll be transferred to
the Norwegian Getaway in time for lunch onboard. Settle in to your
cabin and enjoy the sights as you sail at 5pm.

August 15, 2017 - Historic Berlin
You’ll dock this morning in Berlin (Warnemunde) at 7:30am and have
the entire day for exploring! You might choose an optional excursion that
will whisk you to Berlin for a full day of sightseeing. You’ll savor
landmarks like the 18th century Brandenburg Gate where President
Reagan urged Russian President Gorbachev to “tear down this wall”. See
the glorious Charlottenburg Palace, the Reichstag building where
the German Parliament rules and see where the Berlin Wall once
divided the city. History will truly come alive for you as you explore
Berlin! Your ship sails this evening at 10pm.

August 16, 2017 - At Sea
Today is your day to relax and enjoy all the magnificent amenities the
Norwegian Getaway has to offer! There is The Waterfront, an
innovative open-air promenade with al fresco dining and ship-wide you’ll
find 28 dining options! For moments when you want to relax, the Mandara
Spa offers massages, facials and more. If you’re the type who enjoys a bit of
excitement - you can’t miss with the 5 story waterslide or taking a walk
on The Plank venturing out 8 feet over the side of the ship! Whatever you
do, know that with Norwegian, Freestyle Cruising means doing what you
want to do, when you want to do it!

August 17, 2017 - Beautiful Tallinn
Dock in Tallinn, Estonia at 9am this morning. The true beauty of
Tallinn is in her quaint streets and buildings. From the unique
Alexander Nevski cathedral to the 15th century Apothecary shop,
the oldest still in use, to St. Catherine’s arts and crafts center - you’ll
find much to marvel at in this beautiful capital city! And be sure and
sample the smoked trout or pickled cabbage stew, both local specialties!
You’ll have plenty of time to explore before returning to your ship for a
5:30pm departure.

August 18 and 19, 2017 - Stunning St. Petersburg
You have two full days in St. Petersburg, docking on the 20th at 8am
and departing at 7pm on the 21st of May. Built from nothing by Peter
the Great, this was to be the ultimate display of imperial Russia’s
growing status in the world. With fabulous palaces and cathedral’s, St.
Petersburg grew to be the Romanovs’ showcase capital and Russia’s first
great, modern city. One of the city’s grandest sights is the Winter
Palace. This magnificent palace was the residence of Russian Tzars and
is truly impressive with thousands of doors, windows and rooms. Today,
the Winter Palace is home to the Hermitage Museum one of the
largest and most respected in the world. Founded in 1764 by Catherine
the Great, it houses nearly 3 million exhibits. From the fabulous oniondomed cathedrals and immense palaces to fabled Catherine’s Palace
and Peterhof outside the city, you’ll have plenty to see in your two days!
With an overnight docked in St. Petersburg, you might also choose to
enjoy an evening of ballet or traditional song and dance!

August 20, 2017 - Helsinki
This morning, you’ll dock in Helsinki at 7am. You might choose an
excursion to take you into the lovely and heavily wooded Finnish
countryside to Porvoo to glimpse the rural lifestyle that Finns love! The
historic wooden town center with low houses and picturesque yards has
become a magnet for artists! Be sure and stop at Brunberg’s where
they’ve been tempting Finns with delectable sweets since 1871! If you
choose to remain in Helsinki, don’t miss visiting the Temppeliaukio
Church carved into rock and topped with a beautiful copper dome.
Return for a 4pm sailing.

August 21, 2017 - Stockholm
You’ll visit Stockholm today from 8am to 4pm. Be sure and visit
Stockholm’s City Hall renowned for its architecture, murals, and as
the site of the Nobel Prize Banquet. Completed in 1923, this
magnificent fortress-like building took 12 years to build. And don’t miss
the island of Djurgården, where you can visit the fascinating Vasa
Museum, home of the warship Vasa, once the pride of Sweden’s navy.
The museum was built around the 17th century warship that sank in
Stockholm’s inner harbor on her maiden voyage in 1628. In Old Town,
you can tour the elegant Royal Palace with it’s 600 some lavishly
decorated rooms!

August 22, 2017 - At Sea
After 5 days of enjoying Scandinavia’s Capitals, it’s time to relax and
enjoy your floating hotel, the Norwegian Getaway! Swim in the pools,
relax in the hot tub or enjoy the view. There are plenty of
entertainment options that will have you tapping your toes or
laughing uproariously at the Comedy Club. It’s a great way to end your
days on the Getaway!

You arrive back in Copenhagen this morning at 7am. After breakfast
you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home. Memories of
