Instructions:
1. Preparefabric.
• Prewashfabric.Ourfabricmeasured32"lengthand44"
widthafterlaundering.
2. Addfabricbandinsert.
• Cuteachfabricband2"widebythewidthoftowels
(approximately14½"wide.)
Note: Overlock or zigzag cut edges of the fabric to reduce fraying
during laundering.
• Drycompletely.
• Cutoffselvageedges.
• Divideinto3equalsections(approximately14½"widex32"
longeach)

usingadiagonalseamtoreducebulk.

Repeatforremainingbindingseamallowances
• Pressseamflat,thenpressbandover,coveringthelower

3.Bindthetoweledges.
• Cutthree2¼"widebindingstripsforeachtowel.
• Squareoneendofthebinding.
• Presscutendofthebindingstripata45°angle;creatinga
visibletriangle.
• Foldthebindinginhalflengthwise,wrongsidestogether.
Press.
• Lockstitchesandpivottowel.
• Foldbindingup,creatinga45°angle,aligningthecutedge
ofthebindingwiththecutedgeofthetowel.
• Meettheangle-pressedendofthebindingtothewrongside
ofthetowel,meetingcutedgesandstartingalongoneside.
• Stitchthebindingtothetowelwitha¼"seamallowance,
(beginning3"fromtheendofthebinding)andstoppingat
themarkedpointatthecorner.
• Foldbindingdown,meetingbindingfoldtotopedgeofthe
towelandbindingcutedgestothesideedges.Stitcha¼"
seamontheside,startingatfoldededge
• Repeatatremainingcorners.Stopstitchingapproximately
3"beforethestartofthebinding.A6"sectionremainsunstitched.
• Smooththebindingendoverthebeginningofthebinding
strip.
• Marktheend(whichisontop)whereitcrossesoverthe
verticalcutedgeoftheangle-pressedend.
• Gentlyunfoldthebindingends,keepingthempinned,but
withthediagonalpressedlinefacingup.
• Aligncutendsandrepinifneeded.
• Stitchalongthediagonalpressedline.
• Openthemarkedendandtrimthebindingendsquareand
evenatthemark.
• Tuckthetrimmedbindingendintothepressedbinding
beginning.Pinthetwoinnerlayerstogether.
• Removepinsandrefoldbindingtocheckthefittothetowel.
Restitchifnecessary.
• Unfoldbinding;trimseamallowanceto¼"andpressopen.
• Repositionbindingandstitchremainingportionofseam.
• Foldandpressbindingawayfromtowelandtotheright
side,coveringthestitchingline.
• Pinandstitchbindinginplace.
• Replacethe¼"FootorPatchworkFootwiththeEdgestitchingFoot.
• Guidethebladeofthefootalongthestitchededgeofthe
bindingandstitchingwillperfectlytopstitchthebinding.
• Threadtheneedleandinsertabobbinwithathreadcolor
thatblendswiththeborderfabric.
• Repeattheprocessforremainingtowel.
• Embellishfurtherasdesiredwithembroidery,applique,and
more.
