Grand Canyon Family Camping Trip
Next Friday, October 30th, we leave the school at noon (sharp) to go on our annual Grand Canyon family
camping trip. We encourage all families to come and sleep under the stars, listen to the sounds of the blowing pines and spend some time around the campfire with your family and ours. In the morning, after a good
camp breakfast we will head out to explore the trail down into the canyon. Not everyone will go all the way
down but all will enjoy the scenery, the air and the company of friends. Families may stay for another night
but the school van will be coming back Saturday and arriving at the school by 8:30 in the evening. Parents
should pick up their students at that time. Please let us know if you plan to go or not so that we may be sure
we have travel arrangements, food, etc. for everyone.
For those who will not be going; Friday is a half day of school and prompt pick up at noon is required.
Enrichment Along the Way
Every now and then we have the pleasure of learning some interesting facts from visitors who come
to the school. We want to thank Jacquelina for sharing her knowledge about skin care with us last
Friday. The students had many questions answered and will surely benefit for her advice.
Yesterday, on Picture Day, our photographer Jim shared his love of photography, his work experience and his satisfaction with the company he has been with for the last eight years. We now understand the concept of profit sharing. Our thanks to all who broaden our students by visiting!

Just for Fun
I know one kid who has to bring her parents to school so often,
they have a better attendance record than she has.
I knew one kid who was always being kept after school.
When they finally let him go home, he forgot where he lived.
One buddy of mine was always being kept after school.
He spent so much time at school, they delivered his mail there.
One kid in class drew a picture of our teacher on the blackboard.
It got her in serious trouble because it looked just like him.
I had one classmate who was always in trouble. He got one day when he didn't
have to stay after school. He went to his house and said, "Mom and Dad, I'm
home."
They said, "That's nice, but who are you?"
They’re adding up!
Thank you for continuing to send in your labels. If you like to shop online

Garage Sale
We are re-scheduling our first garage sale to a future date when we
have more items. Keep bringing
things in and we will keep you
posted on the date. We give taxdeductible receipts for all items.
Train up a child in the way
he should go and when he is
old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
We believe that a personal relationship with God
is the single most important part of our educational process. We believe that Christian service
and sharing the Good News with our fellow human
beings is essential in the development of the whole
person.
AIA believes that learning must be an active adventure, integrating the spiritual, mental, physical, cultural, and social aspects of life.
AIA believes that parents are the primary teachers
in a child’s life. We want our students’ parents to
be actively involved in the learning process that
takes place in our classroom. Parental involvement
is required.
The AIA learning environment encourages the
freedom of individual thought yet at the same time
requires the student to take responsibility for his
actions.
