High-performance marine electronics for surface combatants. ATLAS ELEKTRONIK is a high-performance system provider of marine electronics for surface combatants. The change in the security situation and the increasing importance of ocean shipping sets new challenges for navies worldwide, for which ATLAS ELEKTRONIK is constantly developing new solutions. Command and weapon deployment systems ANCS, the ATLAS Naval Combat System, is a new-generation command and weapons deployment system. The German Navy has equipped its new F125 frigates with the system, making them the most effective ships of their class in the world. ANCS is distinguished by its modular composition, meaning that it can be quickly adapted to different ships and require-ments. It features all the necessary interfaces to sensors, effectors and communication installations, with which it can be integrated in a network-based operation management system. Maritime security For military use in the field of maritime security, the ATLAS ELEKTRONIK Group also offers products for coastal and harbour protection. The ASCA system, for example, which is based on the technology featured in the ANCS combat management system, uses diverse sensors and effectors to protect against piracy and smuggling, and can be deployed in a military sense to defend against terrorism or asymmetric warfare. The mobile version also gives the option of reacting flexibly to threats. Integration capability The ATLAS systems for surface combatants are characterised by a high level of integration capability. A wide range of sensors, such as radars, electro-optical systems, friend/foe identification, and effectors such as barrel weapons, missiles, torpedoes and other types can be integrated independently of the manufacturer. 18 19 The mission. NEUTRALISE THREATS RELIABLY. Mine countermeasureS systems for the modern navy. The sea mine is an insidious threat and represents a serious danger to worldwide shipping and free trade. That is why the ability to deploy mine countermeasures is one of the most important tasks for modern navies. ATLAS minehunting systems make it possible for mines and ammunition dumps at sea to be effectively detected and destroyed at low risk to the ship and crew. We have been setting the worldwide standard in this field for over four decades. Besides the German Navy, more than ten navies around the world have mine warfare systems made by ATLAS ELEKTRONIK. In order to also equip ships operating outside their own waters with an initial capability for mine countermeasures, ATLAS ELEKTRONIK is developing a mobile version of the IMCMS. This can be used from non-specialised platforms or even from land. The Integrated Mine Countermeasures System (IMCMS) is one of the most modern and effective of its kind. With the aid of several sensor systems and remote-controlled or autonomous surface and underwater vehicles, it combines a number of mine countermeasure methods. In mine warfare, ATLAS ELEKTRONIK relies on the benefits of the 'disposable one-shot' principle with the SeaFox system. With its integrated warhead, as an intelligent form of ammunition for neutralising mines, the remote-controlled underwater drone identifies and destroys magnetic and tethered mines without putting the ship and crew at risk. 20 21 The mission. OPERATE PERFECTLY IN THE WATER. The comprehensive portfolio of unmanned vehicles. The sea is the basis for intercontinental trade and holds vast sources of raw materials and energy that need to be tapped. With Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV), shipping channels can be secured and the sea’s resources can be utilised more effectively. ATLAS ELEKTRONIK looks back on many years of experience in the field of UUVs and USVs and now has one of the widest portfolios of unmanned vehicles. With the aid of the latest technology, these vehicles are used not only for mine countermeasures and operations in the coastal zone, but also for numerous civilian applications. In addition to the SeaFox, we also offer the SeaCat, which due to its manoeuvrability is especially suited to harbour protection, as well as the SeaOtter, which is able to carry a large range of payloads for various tasks due to its modularity and size. The ‘ARCIMS’ surface system – the next generation of unmanned Mine Countermeasures (MCM) solution – round off our product range in the field of maritime security. Thanks to their compact design, high mobility, stability and precise navigation, the UUVs and USVs made by ATLAS ELEKTRONIK are ideal for reconnaissance and inspection of ports, coasts, offshore installations, pipelines and other critical infrastructures.
