President’s Column
Greetings from the newest President of the RCT
Board. First, I would like to thank Bob Hershman, Jeff
Isherwood, Glen and Diane Leonard for their service as
they move off the board and welcome Laurie Marshall
(Financial Secretary), Pat Burke (2nd Vice President),
Josephine Perkins and Vanessa Hansson. My vision for
RCT is to fill every seat for every performance and to
increase not just membership and season ticket holders,
but to have many more volunteers working in the various
aspects of running your community theater. There are
lots of opportunities to share your talents and help the
60th Anniversary Season be the very best it can be, so
when you read of upcoming committees being formed,
find where you can fit in and be part of the success. I
welcome your thoughts and ideas: [email protected] .

the talented students for their fine production. One of the
performances was adjudicated by Paul Nelson, from the
Theater Association of New York and the following well
deserved awards were announced:

Cast.
Excellence in Musical Direction to Barb Seaton.

RCT Banquet and Awards
RCT completed its 59th season with an end of year
banquet on June 29th.
At the banquet, the annual
lighthearted Ford awards were given out by Barb Seaton,
to include some really expensive gifts that were provided
to the “winners”. The annual Curtain Call awards were
once again presented by Maria Rich, which included a
rousing trivia game with the directors of the four shows.
Go figure, Barb Seaton ended up with the category of
musical song lyrics--- and Maria stumped her a couple
times. Annual theater achievement awards were given
to Fred Normand (Nora Burke Award) for his long time
dedication to RCT and to Anthony Parker and Anders
Hansson (the Anne Panasci Award) as student
exceptional volunteers. In addition, the annual Henry

RCT is looking for anyone who wishes to join the Henry
Award committee.
This would require the person to
watch all 5 shows, and at the end of the year give
opinions on things such as Best show, actors etc. Since
it is an anonymous committee, place your name and
contact information in an envelope and mail it without any
return address to: John Parker, Attn: Henry Committee,
9026 Towne Dr., Rome, NY 13440.
This is the time of year RCT is looking for people to join
its email list for the Prompter to save on rising postage
costs.
Send an email to the Prompter editor John
Parker, [email protected]. Our goal this year
is 100 addresses, so reply now!
