Why LMH?
As a clinical intern at LMH, I was able to learn from mentors who care about their patients and
co-workers. I applied real-life experiences to what I was learning in pharmacy school. This
prepared me for rotations and residency. The experience I had at LMH gave me confidence as a
resident and knowledge that helped me more than I ever could have imagined!

“When I was originally hired as a student at LMH, I had no idea the experience I was about to
get. Sometimes, looking back, I feel like I learned more about medications and treatment at LMH
than from pharmacy school. It was having the chance to apply what was being taught to us that
really had an impact on my learning. The experiences I gained prepared me, beyond my
imagination, for a PGY1 residency. The transition from student to pharmacist was not as scary as

"I started at LMH a pharmacy department volunteer. My interactions with the pharmacy staff
convinced me that this was the place to be throughout pharmacy school. The technicians and

On a daily basis, I am still utilizing clinical skills I learned in this program: obtaining a complete
medication history, performing discharge education, renal dosing of medications, and clinical
pharmacokinetics. I strongly believe these skills made me more competitive for residency. Even
after residency, the experiences I have had at LMH have helped me with clinical projects. I
