Her hobbies include travel, gardening, cooking, and photography and lives in Iowa City with her son, Cael. As Director of Alumnae and Volunteer Development (DAVD), Gina Marino will manage alumnae services, alumnae associations, and volunteers, including alumnae-focused programs and resources. Gina can be reached by email at [email protected] starting February 13, 2017. Gina graduated from the University of Dubuque and is a founding Sister of the Omicron Epsilon Chapter of SLG. Most recently, in May of 2016, Gina earned her M.A. in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies with a concentration in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She worked as a Graduate Assistant for Fraternity & Sorority Life advising Panhellenic Council and National Pan-Hellenic Council while serving the sisterhood as the 2015-2017 North Central Regional Director and president of the Eastern Iowa and Quad Cities Alumnae Association. Gina considers herself ‘fromless’ as she has spent the majority of her life traveling while her father was enlisted in the Navy but recently comes to HQ from Phoenix, Arizona. As Director of Risk and Harm Management, Teresa Brewington will manage and create several of the sorority’s risk and harm management policies and procedures, which includes all judicial investigations management. Teresa may be reached by email at [email protected]. Teresa graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with the intent of majoring in Criminal Justice but after finding a passion for social work, she double majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Teresa is a strong believer in education and the gift it can be to everyone. She continued to show her passion for education by obtaining two master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Business Administration with the goal of completing her Ph.D in Educational Leadership from North Central University. She thanks her education for the self-esteem and self-worth it brought her with the aim to break down barriers that exists for women and other minorities. Teresa is proud to belong to the Coharie and Lumbee Tribes in North Carolina where her home has been until three years ago, when she moved to Iowa. HQ looks forward to have these three women join the HQ team and are confident in their knowledge, skills, abilities, and individual experiences to shine while continuing the success of SLG, its members, and its mission. Please join us in welcoming Jennifer, Gina, and Teresa to Headquarters!
