BACKGROUND AND
OBJECTIVES
 The UTLS transport over the Tibetan Plateau is
unique and crucial;
 It is largely determined by large scale dynamical
ST-TR coupling;
To prove from a climatological view:
 The unique UTLS dynamical ST-TR coupling surrounding
the Tibetan Plateau;
 The probably important role of ST-TR coupling during the
influence of TP on climate.

WE PROVED:
 The UTLS dynamical ST-TR coupling surrounding TP is
unique;
 The ST-TR coupling may play an important role during the
influence of TP on climate.
 Future work will examine interannual variability.
