Editor’s Column
The President is directing “The Lion in Winter”. His cast
and some basic information are contained in this
newsletter. Thanks, Carl.
You sometimes never hear about some of the folks
working behind the scenes at RCT. Since it is my column
this month, I am going to feature some of them.
Sharon Parker is in charge of the concession stand. She
works with her staff to man the stand for every
performance of every show. She also orders concession
supplies and coordinates annual inspections with the
Dept. of Health. Sharon is always willing to train anyone
interested in working concessions. Just stop by and ask
how you pop that delicious popcorn. Who knows, she
might put you to work! Thanks, Sharon.
Other volunteers publicize our events. Bob Hershman is
the RCT advertising chairman, responsible for creating
newspaper articles and advertisements for our events.
Mike Sharp is responsible for the RCT web site and does
a fine job updating it for various events. Adrian Maggio
is responsible for our Facebook presence. Thanks guys!
Over the years I have edited this newsletter, I get all of
the credit. However as editor I reach out to various
directors, producers, and other committee chairman to
send me information that I then fit into this newsletter. I
cannot thank all of them individually in this column, but do
thank them ALL for what they have done to make
creating this newsletter much easier. And, without the
aid of the Rome DDSO to fold, tape, and label all of the
copies of this newsletter for mailing, it would not happen.
My job is made easy by each and every one of you! With
this job, I also maintain the theater address list of season
ticket holders, members, and performers that this
newsletter is sent to.
If you are interested in any of the various jobs mentioned
in this newsletter or assisting RCT in any other way, let
me know and I will hook you up with the person in charge
of that department. RCT Is 100% volunteers, so many
hands make light work!

“Arsenic and Old Lace”
Made a Lot of Folks Laugh
Director Pete Costianes and Producers Glen and Diane
Leonard are very thankful for those of you who came out
and supported the third time RCT produced the audience
favorite “Arsenic and Old Lace”. The show promoted lots
of laughter and smiling faces leaving the theater each
night. The editor of this newsletter had a lot of folks tell
him how funny this show truly was, including a couple
people he did not know! So, that is the end of show 1 ….
be sure you make the time to come to show 2 of our
season, “The Lion in Winter”.

Annual RCT
Trip to Turkey
Every November, members, friends and family of RCT
meet for a leisurely afternoon ride to an undisclosed
restaurant for a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixin’s.
Barb Seaton is the only person who knows where the
feast is. This year's dinner is Sunday Nov. 13th and the
price will be less than $20 (final price TBA). Everyone
will meet at the theater around 1PM for snacks and cider
before carpooling to the location. RSVP NOW to Barb
([email protected] or 334-7737 by Thursday Nov. 10th).
Last year, we went to The Lake Delta Inn, so it's a good
guess it won't be there this year!

Quick News
The RCT board and marketing committee are looking to
ask questions of its patrons at the next production. RCT
is always interested in hearing the voice of their patrons-- what they like, what they do not like etc. If there are
any comments that the readers of this newsletter wish to
share, send them via email to the editor of this newsletter
and they will be shared with the board.
For those who work on RCT activities, there is now a
labeled recycling garbage can outside the back entrance.
Please use it for cardboard and plastic recycling.
RCT is getting close to begin raising funds for a new sign
out front of the theater. End of year donations are
suggested to be considered. Mail them to the PO Box on
this page of the newsletter, designating it for the new
marquee. No donation is too small! Other fundraising
activities are to be announced in the near future.
The Prompter is published monthly by Rome Community
Theater. Comments and suggestions should be made to John
Parker, editor, via email at [email protected].
