XPlackemeier broke a 52-year old single game ACC
record by averaging 56.4 yards per punt (five punts for
282 yards) against Georgia Tech. Two of his five
punts went for 60+ yards. Plackemeier recorded
punts of 55, 45, 55, 64 and 63 yards and recorded a
net of 48.4 against the Yellow Jackets.
XHe shattered his own Wake Forest single season
record he set in 2003 (45.6). This year, Plackemeier
averaged 47.2 to set a new Wake Forest record.
XPlackemeier was named ACC Specialist of the Week
after the NC State game in which he drilled fourth
quarter punts of 71 and 82 yards in a 27-19 win.
