Skate Park Status
The issue of building a skate
board park in the City of
Bastrop has not been resolved.
The Parks Board has abandoned the idea of constructing
the park at the corner of
Schaefer Blvd and Jessica Pl.
However, the site at Bob Bryant Park as well as several
other locations around Bastrop
are still pending.
The June meeting, for public
input, at City Council Chambers was cancelled, due to no
quorum from the Public
Works Dept. Therefore, there
has been no public input on
the issue. Also, the status of
and pending action for a skate
board park is still unknown at
this time. The Public Works
Dept. has not issued any new
information since the June
meeting was cancelled.
For questions or concerns
contact Stacy Snell, Director
of Planning and Development
at 321-0457 or 303-2390.
In the meantime, please drive
carefully throughout the
neighborhood. Skateboarders
are in and on the streets; most
disregard moving vehicles.
