1. Read Romans 12:9. What is contrasted in this verse and how are they different? How does this apply to
family? How can we show sincere love? How are we all tempted to not really hate what is evil when it comes to
relationships?
2. Read Romans 12:10. What do others do for you that makes you feel honored by your family or friends? How
do you try to honor others in your family above yourself? How is it hard?
3. Read Romans 12:11. What does this verse say is the key to putting others in your family ahead of yourself?
What disciplines can you put in place to do that?
4. Which of the four faces of conflict do you most identify with? Why? Which way did your family growing up
mostly deal with conflict?
5. What can you do to have a more biblical "effective" face in the midst of conflict? How can your family - present
or future - be changed by that approach?
