The Discovering Our Deepest Desire Program consists of a series of evenings of interaction, prayer, reflection, and activities designed to support couples in renewing their understanding of what it means to have a Sacramental Marriage and to rediscover the one they fell in love. Registrations to the first 12 couples who register (first-come-first-serve basis) Diocesan Priests’ Retirement Collection For collection weekend March 4/5: This weekend all parishes and missions in the Diocese of Kalamazoo are holding a special collection to support our diocesan priests’ retirement fund. This collection directly benefits priests of the Diocese of Kalamazoo and is separate from the annual December collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious, which supports retired clergy and sisters of religious orders across America. Diocesan Annual Retreat - March 4-5, 2017 at Transformations Spirituality Center. Facilitators are Alanna Kenney, Megan Gilbert and Sara Pekar. This year theme is Divine Irony: Engaging Goodness, Beauty and Truth in the Passion of Jesus. The retreat begins with 9:00 am Mass on Saturday, March 4th and concludes after the 9:30 am Mass on Sunday, March 5th. There are two options available when you register – one is with an overnight stay and the second is for those who would like to commute. The cost is $100 for double occupancy, $125 for single occupancy and $80 for those commuting. Deadline for these prices is February 22nd. After that there is an additional $20 added on. Registration is now open and space is limited. If you believe your past hurts (from childhood experiences of abuse – verbal/physical/sexual – or emotional neglect) have made your current life unmanageable, this program may be for you. Bulletin announcement for February 26 and/or March 5 & 12-The Detroit Province Council of Catholic Women (from all dioceses of Michigan) invites all women to attend their triennial convention on April 21-22, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Near U of M in Ann Arbor, just off US 23. The theme is Lead Me Lord, Renew My Strength. The day and a half event (Friday & Saturday morning) will have some great speakers, liturgy (Bishop Cistone will concelebrate & the Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist will be singing!), raffles, vendors, banquet, and Irish fun!
