Brazil
Brazil is the largest country in South America, occupying almost one-half of the continent. It has a population of nearly 200
million inhabitants, and is the largest economy in Latin America.
The official language of Brazil is Portuguese, and the country
is home to extensive natural resources, diverse wildlife, vibrant
culture, and fantastic weather year round. The program is situated in Joao Pessoa, the capital of the state of Paraiba, a small
state located on the northeast coast of Brazil. The city is home
to under a million people, and is the easternmost point of the
Americas (sometimes called “the city where the sun rises first”).
Joao Pessoa is also considered one of the greenest cities in
the world, and is bathed by twenty miles of breathtaking, pristine, and astonishingly beautiful beaches.
