for you in this package. For years, Queen’s Model Parliament has been one of the most popular and highly
anticipated annual events amongst Queen’s students across a variety of faculties. With the
support of such notable Canadian figures such as the Hon. Peter Milliken, CBC’s Evan
Solomon, and the Hon. John Baird, 330 students will be given the rare opportunity to
respectfully debate amongst their peers upon topics that affect Canada and its citizens. Our
delegates will become inspired by listening to some of the most prominent Canadian
individuals in both politics and journalism. As the Co-­‐Chairs of 69th annual conference, we will strive to provide our student delegates
with continuous opportunities, whether that is through the honour of sitting in the House
of Commons or the luxury of staying at the Chateau Laurier. Our objective is to help
educate young people on Canadian politics by giving them the tools to understand the way

Each year, 350 students travel to Ottawa to fill the House of Commons and experience the one of a kind opportunity of participating in the Canadian parliamentary process. The passion and dedication of students, combined with inspirational speakers and generous partners, allows QMP to provide its delegates with a truly unique experience. By participating in the conference, delegates join in the QMP tradition of forming political parties, drafting legislation, engaging in debate and taking a strong position on pressing and contemporary issues.
