COLOR-MIXING GUIDE

What you’ll need:
Azalea
INTO THE
WOODS
• Standard measuring spoon set
with the following measurements:
1/8 tsp.
1/4 tsp.
1/2 tsp.
1 tsp.
• 4-oz. Mixing bottle
• Plastic table cover
Mixing Instructions:

TIPS:
• Thoroughly rinse out your mixing bottle
before reuse
• Do not add water until you are prepared to
apply dye
• Do not allow wet dyed yarn to rest on
other items
• Always use gloves when working with dyes
• Make sure excess dye dust is removed from
work area; it is invisible until it reacts with water
• Experiment with mixing your very own
custom colors
• To ensure that all excess dye is thoroughly
removed from yarn, rinse under running water,
zip tie, place in a mesh laundry bag and
machine wash in cold water with a small
amount of laundry soap
• Select the custom color from the recipe chart that you’d like to mix.
• Using your measuring spoons, add the specified dry dye amounts to an empty
4-oz. mixing bottle.
• Add water to your mixing bottle to the 4-oz. mark.
• Replace cap and shake until dye is fully dissolved.
• Your dye is ready to use! Follow general instructions in the kit for best results.
