More information on the back! Discipline One of the reasons I became a teacher was due to the experiences I had when I was in school. I was often terrified of my teachers and therefore, didn’t enjoy school. As I grew up and knew I wanted to teach, I decided I never wanted my students to feel the way I had felt. I want my classroom to be a safe, challenging, and fun environment for all. In order for this to happen, there must be order and routine. We have Disney for every aspect of our room. Our behavior tracker is no different. Each student begins on “Ready to Learn” each morning. This means everyone gets a fresh start each and every day. I record where each magnetic name is at the end of the day and then they are moved back to “Ready to Learn” for the following day. I’ve included a small version of this below. The students can tell you how it works. There is also the opportunity to move “UP.” This would mean student did something extra spectacular. (Helping another student, etc.) The idea is to be on one of the first three at the end of the day. You can get moved to “Mike” in the morning, but may get moved back to “Ready to Learn” later in the day. It rewards in this way, as well. Incredible! Ready To Learn I’ve got my eye on you STOP and Restart your Engine Another Great Week! I absolutely love 2nd grade! Your children are wonderful and are making each day a joy. Please never hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. I am starting to figure out where each of your children is academically and will be contacting you with concerns I may have.
