HISTORY BOOK ON KARACHI PORT
KARACHI PORT TRUST has published an impressive Coffee Table Book on the occasion
of centenary celebrations of the Port. The book walks us through the “HISTORY OF
KARACHI PORT’ and its historic development, right from small village port for fisher folk
to a deep water modern thriving port, striving for excellence within and beyond the region.
The book has been published by the famous publishers, M/s CAMERAPIX” PUBLISHERS
INTERNATIONAL LIMITED OF KENYA. T h e f i r m i s k n o w n w o r l d o v e r t h r o u g h
publishing books like “Journey Through Pakistan”, and “Pilgrimage to Mecca”. They had
acquired the service of late Mr. Brain Tetley (well known the British writer) for writing the
script, o f t h i s b o o k , and photography was done by Mr. M. Amin, OBE, who gained
knighthood at the hand of Queen of England for his accomplishments, in the photographic
field.
The book is 20
hard bound with cover jacket, and 224 pages with high resolution
photographs on gsm art paper. It is attractive to look at and informative to read. It will be a
worthwhile addition to your offices/homes and of course the Library. For the Port users it can
also be an excellent give away.
The Book is available at a modest cost of $ 50.0 or PKR.4500/- per copy. Its orders can be
placed in writing to the General Manager (P&D), KPT at the following address or e-mail,
alongwith pay order or Bank Draft in the name of “Chief Accounts Officer KPT”. Delivery
charges out side Karachi are to be borne by the customer @ Rs.500/- and outside Pakistan @
Rs.4,500/- for each copy.
