The week of the entrepreneur is a business event
organized by the government of Mexico, through the
Ministry of the Economy and the National Institute of the
Entrepreneur. It is a space dedicated to Mexico
commercial alliances with the world and to productivity.
¿WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE WEEK OF THE ENTREPRENEUR?
During this week, entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium-sized businesses will find a
comprehensive offer of supports, incentives and programs to open, update, and make more
productive companies.
In this week, attendees will be able to do a self-diagnostic to determine, either their level of
entrepreneurship or their current state and technology needs. Participants will also be able to
learn about Mexico’s strategic sectors and will discover the means to suitably integrate in the
chains of value; also they will be able to meet the commercial banking offer as well as the
development and non-bank financial intermediaries. Workshops and lectures will be available
and different activities will be developed to contribute to increase the options of development
and competitiveness of companies; to help them incorporate new technologies and
communication resources, among others.

WHAT IS THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF THE ENTREPRENEUR
(INADEM)?
The National Institute of the Entrepreneur is an independent-administrative body of the Ministry
of the Economy and its objective is to apply, execute and coordinate the national policy to
support entrepreneurs as well as to support small, micro and medium enterprises by fostering
its innovation, competitiveness and projection potential within the national and international
markets to increase its contribution to the economic development and social welfare as well as
to contribute to the development of policies that promote entrepreneurial culture and
productivity.

The first edition La primera edición de la Semana del
Emprendedor se llevará a cabo del 6 al 10 de agosto en el
Centro Banamex, de la Ciudad de México. Este evento sustituirá
a la Semana Pyme y es organizado por el Gobierno de la
República a través de la Secretaría de Economía y el Instituto
Nacional del Emprendedor (INADEM).
