Student Body President, Michael Croal, Senate President Pro-Tempore WHEREAS, The Internal Affairs Committee and the Senate President Pro-Tempore are both charged
with the duty of recommending all internal improvements for the Student Government Association;
and, WHEREAS, while the aforementioned members have been reviewing the Constitution, have
encountered inconsistencies. In the interest of clarification and consistency, these should be amended;
and, WHEREAS, Academic Senators represent the students enrolled within their specific colleges and
with that responsibility, they will serve on their individual school’s Advisory Council to better the
academic environment for each student; now, therefore, be it ENACTED, that Article III, Chapter 307 of the Student Senate Statutes be amended as follows: 307.11 College of Arts and Sciences Senators (2): College of Arts and Sciences Senators shall: a) Be accepted into the College of Arts and Sciences at the time of their election. b) Represent and advocate for the needs of students in the College of Arts and Sciences. c) Shall work with administration on all College of Arts and Sciences issues. d) Shall serve on the Senate committee for Academic Affairs. e) Shall serve on the College of Arts and Sciences Student Advisory Council. Senators shall: a) Be accepted into the College of Health and Human Services at the time of their election
b) Represent and advocate for the needs of students in the College of Health and Human
