gather to celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event. Sports venues in the Olympic Park will receive more
than 75,000 visitors daily and the Games’ television audience will be approximately 3 billion! In addition,
residents of Russia’s major cities will be able to watch live television broadcasts of the Olympic events at
specially equipped Olympic sites known as Live Sites.

Switzerland will be presenting itself live at the 2014 Winter Olympics with the official hospitality centre, the
House of Switzerland. The House of Switzerland will be located within the Olympic Park in the coastal
cluster in Sochi.
The House of Switzerland is a popular meeting point for athletes, politicians, business people and media
representatives. At the same time, it serves as an ideal marketing and advertising platform for Swiss
companies and organisations.

The House of Switzerland was conceived as a public-private partnership project to facilitate close
collaboration between public partners and sponsors from the private sector. As such it serves as
a marketing and business platform for Swiss companies and organisations to

Who?
The House of Switzerland project is managed by Presence Switzerland, the entity within the Federal
Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA, responsible for Switzerland’s communication abroad. The aims of
Switzerland’s communication abroad are to increase the country’s international visibility, support national
interests abroad and to enhance and foster its network of contacts with current and future decision-makers
and opinion-leaders. We represent the interests of the partners from both the public and private sector.
As an actor within a public-private-partnership concept, we cater to the needs of the Swiss and international
economy sector by offering the House of Switzerland as a marketing and hospitality platform. The team at
Presence Switzerland will do its utmost to not just satisfy your needs but to exceed your expectations.
What?
The House of Switzerland is one of the tools with which Presence Switzerland pursues the aims of its
communication abroad. It acts as a meeting point and social hub for athletes, the Swiss Olympic team and

How?
As a Swiss company or organisation, you can become an official partner of the House of Switzerland 2014

What else?
In 2014 Russia and Switzerland will celebrate 200 years of bilateral relations. Presence Switzerland is
working closely with the Embassy of Switzerland in Moscow to plan and organise a series of jubilee events
to celebrate the anniversary. The jubilee programme will be launched at the House of Switzerland in Sochi
and continue throughout 2014 in various Russian cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg, etc.).
As a Swiss company or organisation, you can be part of the jubilee activities by supporting the events.

The House of Switzerland is the official Swiss hospitality centre at the Olympic Games. It is set up and
outfitted during the lead up to the Olympic Games, and is then open for the duration of the Games.
The House of Switzerland is a project managed by Presence Switzerland, part of the Swiss Federal
Department of Foreign Affairs, and acts as a meeting point and social hub for its sponsors, partners
and the Swiss Olympic team. It is also used for receptions, media conferences, client events, and medal
celebrations.
