II K.K. Baczyński High School is situated in Konin, a city located 100 km
east of Poznań (the capital city of the province) and 200 km west of
Warsaw (the capital of Poland). Konin, separated by the river Warta,
consists of a historical and a modern part, and is surrounded by numerous
forests and lakes.
Our school was founded in 1965, and it educates students of the age
between 16 and 19, preparing them for taking their A-levels. Currently,
812 students are being taught by the staff of 55 well-qualified teachers.
Our students are offered various courses including extended Maths,
Physics, Computer Science, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, foreign
languages or Humanities. The languages we teach are: English, German,
Spanish and Latin.
The school cooperates with different universities, e.g.: Adam Mickiewicz
University, Natural Science University in Poznań, Warsaw School of
Economics and Training College in Konin. We participate actively in the life
of our city and region.
