If your child’s attendance falls below 90% we will be required to investigate this further. Due to the concerning ‘Whole School attendance percentages for the Autumn Term’ – an additional level of monitoring has been introduced by the ‘Local Advisory Board’. C Christmas at Trerice – A collaboration from St Newlyn East Church and The National Trust. On Thursday 10th December St Newlyn East Church presents an evening of words and music. Come and enjoy a mince pie and mulled wine whilst listening to carols in the beautiful surroundings of Trerice House. CHRISTMAS FAYRE – A huge thank you to the generosity and support of all of the parents last Friday – we raised a whopping £728.14!!! This is a fantastic achievement! HOUSE CAPTAINS at St Newlyn East Learning Academy: Congratulations to SCHOOL CLUBS - will Eliza and Alfie (Tinners), Ella and Ben (Farmers), Libby and Tilly (Miners) and Milly and Bethany (Fishers) – all have been voted House Captains and will be leading their House in the newly revamped House System…more news to follow! January! finish?? The new club list will be sent out Monday 4th Christmas Light Parade: Mathletics – The children have Choir in the community! A big thank you to all for your support at Thursday’s parade – it was a lovely evening with fantastic singing from the newly formed St Newlyn East Learning Academy’s Choir! been very enthusiastic about Mathletics this week and have been asking for some harder challenges! Each class teacher will now set a ‘homework challenge’ which will have to be completed before they can compete against their friends at the timed challenges!! Last Friday, the school choir met at the Good Companions Club at the newly re-opened Oxnam Room to wish them a Merry Christmas as well as perform a few Carols. The Club treated the children to a gift of Christmas chocolate and shared memories of Christmas past!
