RATIONALE
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University is at the tipping point of the Jubilee year celebration. In
the academic year 2009-2010, we highlighted the Year of Excellence. The following year was the Year of
Spirituality. And this year 2011-2012, we expand reach of our concerns with the Year of Citizenship.
One hundred years of tradition of forming the head, the heart and the hands.
II.
OBJECTIVE
For its own participation, the Social Development Council (SDC) is sponsoring “
,” a
song writing competition inspired by the spirit of Ateneo as “duyan ng magiting” the cradle of heroic
and engaged citizenship, moved by a spirituality that takes excellence seriously. And we wish to harvest
the fruits of this tradition through creative production.
The winning piece will be the theme song for the Jubilee Celebration to heighten awareness,
