Windows To The World
IN A GALAXY, FAR, FAR,
AWAY…
Friday, June 2nd at 4pm
The force guides you to the library, where a Star Wars
event is planned. On June 2nd at 4pm, the library will be
invaded by costumed characters from the Mandalorian
Mercs Wampa Clan. Come prepared to battle the dark
side, or join it, dressed as your favorite character. Enjoy a
galactic celebration that includes a variety of activities
such as: Jedi Training and games, make your own
lightsaber (and other crafts), and photo ops with
costumed characters. At 5:30pm we will be showing Star
Wars: The Force Awakens (2016 PG13) on the big screen.
Feel free to bring your dinner to enjoy during the movie,
picnic style. This is an all ages event.

JOHN WALLACE
VIEWING A SOLAR ECLIPSE
Wednesday, August 2nd at 2pm
Jon Wallace, FCL's own "science-guy," returns to the
library this afternoon for a talk on the Sun and how to
observe it safely during a solar eclipse. On August 21, all
of North America will be treated to an eclipse of the sun.
Anyone within the path of totality can see one of
nature’s most awe-inspiring sights - a total solar eclipse.
This path will stretch from Salem, Oregon to Charleston,
South Carolina. Observers outside this path will still see a
partial solar eclipse. For more info go to the website
created by NASA: https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/
OUTDOOR FAMILY CONCERT

String Tide is a folk grass band (library favorite Matt
Loosigian is the guitarist). Come listen to some great
music, dance by the gazebo and have a picnic dinner
with family and friends at this wonderful summer concert
at the library.
