Description: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager - Western Canada will be responsible for continuing to grow the business’s interests through their various sales channels. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; • • • • • • Determine the territory’s sales and profitability objectives and recommend and establish strategies to attain them; • • • • • Identify key trade shows, industry events and other marketing opportunities; Establish the territory’s operating budget and ensure its control; Effectively manage a direct sales force of 5+ reps to uncover and drive business opportunities; Direct all business development and account management efforts within the region; Ensure the level and quality of after-sales service to ensure ongoing and repeat business; Manage inventory and introduce supplementary products to the portfolio over time based on strategic decisions of client needs across the territory; Advise the organization on product, pricing and promotion trends in Western Canada; Report on activity, results and planning for the territory; Work in collaboration with peers across the country to represent the organization effectively to key customers; Attend and participate in corporate management meetings to represent the Western Region. Requirements: • Knowledge of, and experience selling building products within Western Canada (decorative finishes; solid surface, tile & stone, flooring, wall-covering, etc) or (exterior finishes; masonry, windows & doors, cladding, architectural panels, etc) • • • • • • • • Experience managing a sales team of 5+ representatives; Proven sales management track record and ability to work autonomously; Ability to travel regularly throughout the region; Demonstrable experience building budgets, setting pricing and managing P&L’s; Honest, acts with integrity and possesses a strong work ethic; Strong professional communication skills; Organized and able to keep accurate information reports; Flexible and willing to adjust to the demands of the role.
