Handcrafted in China, the helmet is covered with tinned bronze to make it shiny. The helmet has two eye sockets and dragon wings as eyebrows, which have boars’ heads at the end. The nose and moustache are the head and body of a deadly snake – to ward off danger. The helmet is beautifully decorated with pictures of warriors holding spears. It was made by a technique called pattern moulding. The pattern on the sword is made by 56 iron rods being beaten together and then decorated with silver and gem stones. This type of sword would have been passed down through the generations because of its quality and craftsmanship. Keep the tradition going.
