What is the Easter Seals Walk?
Easter Seals Southern California is happy to present our newly refreshed annual Walk event! This signature
event is a dynamic celebration of diversity where people come together to raise awareness and funds to support
the Easter Seals mission. Strides for DisABILITY is an exciting day of family fun activities, making friends, strolling
along the Long Beach shoreline, complimentary snacks from various sponsors/vendors, live music, free raffles,
games, photo booth, giveaways and much more. Strides for DisABILITY raises funds in support of the many
Easter Seals programs and services throughout the local communities. This year’s Strides for DisABILITY will be
held at Shoreline Aquatic Park (behind the Aquarium of the Pacific) in Long Beach on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
What is Easter Seals Southern California?
Easter Seals Southern California serves more than 8,000 children and adults with autism, developmental
disabilities, or other special needs. We work to change the way the world defines and views disabilities by
making profound, positive differences in people’s lives every day. Our more than 2,000 employees and 61
service sites support individuals to work, live independently, receive autism therapies, gain early educations,
transition veterans from military to civilian jobs, learn social skills, and other daily living tasks. We are an
inclusive organization that offers services for people with disabilities from infancy and throughout their lifetime.
Locally our service area includes Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Imperial, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura,
Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.

Your sponsorship will help support individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better
lives. From child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities,
Easter Seals offers a variety of services and programs to help address life’s challenges and achieve personal
goals. In fact, 86% of Easter Seals’ income goes directly to our programs and services. Your support would mean
a world of difference to those adults, children and families in need.
