Travel Dates
 Year 3 will travel on Monday 20th March 2017 and
return on Wednesday 22nd March.
 Year 4 will travel on Wednesday 22nd March and
return on Friday 24th March

 Mrs Sturgess and Mrs Epps will put a notice on the
school twitter page on arrival! Follow the school
page: @BastonSchool
 Updates will be put on the website whilst we are away
and any changes to our arrival time home on the
Friday will also be on there for you to access.
Journey
 Children do not need to come in school uniform.
 They will need a packed lunch.
 For those children on free school meals, a lunch
will be provided.
 Travel sickness tablets; take them before school
on Monday, and supply tablets for the return
journey. They must have your child’s full name on.
Rooms
 Children will be sleeping in rooms that vary in size
and number of beds.
 All children are responsible for their rooms and
possessions.
 Children will be allocated a room, they will be
sharing a room with at least one person on their
preference list.
Safety
 In addition to school staff, the Centre is staffed with
skilled professionals who lead the activities.

Code of Conduct
 Best behaviour is expected!
 If a child’s behaviour was not acceptable their parents
will be required to pick them up from the Centre in
Norfolk.
Groups
 Children will undertake all activities each day in the
same group, and will be supervised by a member of
staff from school.
Timetables
 Children will get up at the same time each day. Meal
times and activity times are also the same each day.
 Children will be told during breakfast what activities
they will be doing throughout the day.

Medical/ Dietary Information
 It is ESSENTIAL that we are aware of any condition that
your child may have.
 If your child takes any regular prescribed medication,
school staff will look after it for your child whilst away.
 Medication needs to be handed to Mrs Sturgess on the
morning of the trip (inside the hall), clearly labelled with
your child’s name and with any necessary instructions.
 Children with asthma should keep hold of their inhaler but
give a spare one (labelled) to Mrs Sturgess on the morning
of the trip.
Clothing
 A kit list will be provided closer to the time of the trip.
Expensive belongings
 Mobile phones, Ipads, DS i.e. any electrical
equipment are not permitted.
 Disposable cameras are allowed!
 A watch would be extremely useful.
What next…
 Next payment is due…
 You will receive a letter and a medical form to
complete prior to the trip. We are not permitted to
take the children on the trip without these details.
