A prefix is a word part that is added to the beginning
of a word. A prefix changes the meaning of a word.

mis- means “badly”
in- and un- mean “not”
sub- means “under” re- means “again”
If you mislead people, you give them the wrong idea.
When you misplace something, you can’t find it.
