Orlando Garcia
Orlando Santana Garcia, our talented, multi-award
winning Head Barman, was born and raised in Gran
Canaria. At the age of Twenty he left the islands to travel
around Spain and the Balleriacs, developing his skills and
knowledge of the Bar trade.
In 2003 Orlando made the move to the UK, working first in
Plymouth for a year and then later moving to Bath.
Orlando is no stranger to The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa,
joining the team in 2004 he became extremely popular
with the hotel guests and during his seven years at the
hotel went on to win some extremely prestigious awards
including; Winning the 2008 Grand Marnier Cocktail
Competition and coming 10th in Europe in the same
competition. He has also been awarded UK Bartenders
Guild cocktail bartender of the year 2007 and 2009.
The latest of his Awards was becoming United Kingdom
Bartenders Guild Cocktail champion 2009 and finishing
th
25 in Berlin representing the UK in the World finals in
August 2009 and best cocktail efficiency in 2010.
From 2010 to 2014 he moved on to work for a world
leading Cruise line company, traveling around the world
and discovering new bartending techniques and visiting
and mixing cocktails with the best bartenders from all
around the world to develop his skills.
Now back with us as Bar Manager of The Montagu Bar &
Champagne Lounge it his enthusiasm and creativity
continues to grow.
