I am a University of Portsmouth Graduate, fast approaching my 5th year at Crystal Interactive Meetings. I started my career at Crystal with a
limited understanding of meeting interactivity and engagement but had a well-rounded knowledge of technology and its’ practical uses. Within
my first month at the company I shadowed colleagues at events in London, Istanbul, and Berlin; I have now travelled the world and visited
places like Rio, Seoul, Cape Town, Kuala Lumpur, and Mexico. I have had multiple trips to Europe and the United States… and many other
locations!
Within my first 6 months I was delivering my own events, albeit somewhat simpler jobs than my more experienced colleagues. The bonds that
are formed working within the team are concrete and give you the confidence to go out into the world and meet challenges head on. You
always know there is a support network behind you and the combined experience amasses to decades.
5 years on I have worked with CEO’s at FTSE100 companies, worked with a variety of celebrities and even provided technology at private
birthday functions. The exposure to different types of clients and events is unparalleled and I have enjoyed finding solutions, overcoming
challenges and ensuring events are delivered seamlessly.
I spend my time travelling the world and working with new and interesting people. The team at Crystal I work with are now family and we
support one another to be industry leaders in the delivery of event technology solutions.

Crystal Interactive Meetings is a unique and innovative company with an exciting
working environment. One day you can be on the other side of the world working in a
major conference. On another day, you can be in the office garden playing volleyball.
Each day truly brings something new! The best part about Crystal is the people you

Everyone is here to help, and there is a strong focus on team spirit.
The job role is fun but at times it can also be challenging. You will encounter stressful
situations and get thrown a few curve balls from time to time, but these are all
learning experiences that will help you develop. If a problem should occur, you will

Working at Crystal Interactive Meetings for the past year and a
half has been a great experience. It really is a team environment
with an unbelievably friendly atmosphere. The skills and
knowledge I have acquired help me to thrive in a highly
technical and dynamic role.
The range of products you get to deal with means you are not
doing the same thing day in day out. The biggest plus from
this job is the travelling, the places you get to see can be
incredible.
As someone who has always enjoyed talking to people,
working in a client facing environment enables me to continue
building on my interpersonal skills. We are encouraged to do
this as this benefits the business as we build long lasting client
relationships. As the role involves being in and out of the office, it
creates a balance that I very much enjoy rather than being behind a desk all day.

I've been at Crystal Interactive Meetings for 7 months now and I couldn't be happier with the experience and the challenges that I've faced. I
never thought I'd be delivering key events and conferences for such high-profile clients and senior individuals. There is a lot to learn within this
job and the standards are so high with regard to delivering successful events for clients. It is truly satisfying when you deliver a successful
meeting.
You're placed within a friendly and supportive environment where you can learn in your own space and test all the products, and you will
always learn on the job so you'll always pick up something you didn't know before. The role itself is technical and challenging so you'll be given
excellent training and support to help you understand how the products work. I come from a video production background but I believe that if
you have any technical background then you’ll adapt well to this role.
I've been to countries which I thought I'd never visit such as Monaco, Madrid, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen and more so there is a lot to see on
your travels. Another important factor for me is working with good people so I'm very lucky to have such a friendly environment with great
personalities which only helps me express myself in the role.
Anyone that comes into this role will always be supported by the team and you'll find yourself growing in the job and becoming more confident
when dealing with high pressure situations. It is definitely a job that comes around rarely and has a great mix of everything so make the most
of it!

Having worked for an event production company before joining Crystal Interactive
Meetings I knew ‘desk jobs’ weren’t for me. I really enjoy the variety of work and
opportunities that keep you on your feet and away from the same desk in the same
office every day.
The travel has allowed me to see some places that I otherwise would not have had a
chance to see, and the people that work here have become good friends. There is never
a time where you think “I wish I hadn’t been assigned to work with that person”.
The Event Technology Specialist role allows you to develop so many skills, from the IT
and Technology side of things, all the way through to working with big corporations,
and clients from very high up within those businesses. I’ve developed all sorts of skills in
my 2 years at Crystal interactive Meetings and we’re always encouraged to keep
learning and improving, backed up by our incredibly supportive managers.
