EASE application process
At B2B Bank, we understand the importance of providing advisors
with efficient and user-friendly tools that simplify the application
process. That’s why we’ve created EASE, our Electronic Application
Submission Entry system, where you can quickly and easily enter,
save, print and submit investment and RSP loan applications on
behalf of your clients. Follow the EASE workflow on the next page or
use the full step-by-step instructions in this EASE guide for details
on how to submit loans online.

EASE workflow
Go to b2bbank.com/EASE and log in to EASE.
Click on New loan at the top of the page and select the program of your choice.
Complete all tabs of the application. Print and review for accuracy. Changes cannot be made after
the application has been submitted for credit review. Ensure you and your client sign all documents.
Any changes made to the paper load application must be initialed by both you and your client.
Click on Submit for credit review. You will receive an email notification within seconds
confirming the status of the application. If the status is:

If approved, mail the application with all original signatures and the required documents to:

Please include the EASE transaction number on all mailed documentation.
The loan will be funded typically within one business day upon receipt and verification of the original
documentation. For Mutual Funds Investment Loans, funded proceeds are advanced into the borrower(s)
new or existing B2B Bank Dealer Services investment account.2
For Segregated Investment Loans, funded proceeds are advanced into the borrower(s)
new B2B Bank pledged account.
For RSP Loans, proceeds will be forwarded to B2B Bank for deposit into a RRSP-GIC, to B2B Bank
Dealer Services for deposit into a RRSP, or to the Distribution Alliance for contribution into a registered account.

Step One — Log in to EASE
Use this easy to follow step-by-step guide to complete your investment
and loan applications online.
To access EASE, go to b2bbank.com/EASE.
For existing users
• Enter your access code and password, then click Enter.
For new users
• Click on the Not yet registered link and complete the Enrollment page.
You will receive an email confirming that your access code has been activated.
TIP: Ensure your profile is up to date to minimize delays by updating your information in the My Profile section located at the top of the menu folders on
the left side of the screen.

Step Three — Select a program
B2B Bank Standard Loan
• Available for mutual fund investment loans and RSP loans.
B2B Bank Select Loan
• Available for mutual fund investment loans only. The list of B2B Bank
alliances is displayed for your information when you choose this option.
B2B Bank Distribution Alliance Loan
• Available for mutual and segregated fund investment loans and RSP loans.
Select the Distribution Alliance of your choice from the drop-down list.

Step Four — Complete the loan tab
For investment loans
• Click on the Loan tab.
• Select the Product and Loan Type.
• Enter the existing pledged account number, if available.
• If a new pledged account is being created, the borrower’s Social Insurance
Number (SIN) will be required.
• Enter the Amount Applied For.
• Select the Monthly Payment Type and the Amortization.
• If you are pledging collateral, select the Pledged Information box to have the
Pledge Collateral section expand. Indicate the method(s) of pledging collateral.
• If pledged collateral is in the form of cash or cheque, click Yes for
Cash/Cheque and specify the amount.
• Cash is deposited to the borrower(s) investment account by the financial
advisor prior to funding of the investment loan. This option is not available
for Segregated Fund loan types.
• Cheques are payable to B2B Bank, B2B Bank Financial Services Inc., B2B Bank
Securities Services Inc. or B2B Bank Intermediary Services Inc. and
accompanied by the Investment Loan Application (all loan types).
• If the pledge is in the form of collateral, confirm the fund collateral eligibility by
selecting Validate Fund Collateral Eligibility. Eligible funds will receive a green
checkmark. Non-eligible funds will receive a red “x”. Our complete Fund Collateral
Eligibility List may be found at the bottom of the online applicable screen for
reference purposes.
• If paying out another financial institution, complete the Letter of Direction.
TIP: The Monthly Payment amount, and other details of the loan, will appear at the top right corner of the page.
The First Payment Date will be calculated automatically. Modifications can be made to the day field (DD).

Step Four — Complete the loan tab
For RSP loans
• Click on the Loan tab.
• Select the Product and Loan Type.
• Enter the dollar amount of the loan (Amount Applied For) and the
corresponding Registered Account Number where the loan proceeds will
be invested. If funds will be invested in more than one registered account,
or if an existing loan is to be paid out, enter these amounts separately and
the total of the Amount Applied For fields will be display in the Total Loan
Amount field. For new accounts, enter “new” in the Registered Account
Number field.
• Select the Amortization and the Deferral Option.
• If paying out another financial institution, complete the Letter of Direction.
TIP: The Monthly Payment amount, and other details of the loan, will appear at the top right corner of the page.

Step Five — Enter borrower information
• Complete all fields. Those marked with a red asterisk are mandatory.
The SIN field is a required field for investment loans funded to a
B2B Bank Dealer Services Investment Account.
• The preferred language field determines the language in which the loan
application will be printed.
• If there is a co-borrower, click Yes. A Co-Borrower tab will appear once
the primary borrower’s information has been completed and you have
clicked on Next.
• There are two options available for the ownership of assets held in the
investment account when all of the borrowers reside in jurisdictions other
than Quebec: Joint Tenancy with Rights of Survivorship and Tenancy in
Common. If any of the borrowers reside in Quebec, the only option for
co-ownership of assets held in the investment account is Joint.
Step Six — Enter assets
• From the drop-down menu, select the appropriate Asset Type.
• Enter the description of the asset. For example, if the asset is Principal
Residence, specify the type of residence (single family, condo, etc.).
• Include the market value of the asset in the Amount field.
• Click on the Add button to save the asset. To enter additional assets,
simply repeat the above steps.
TIP: Total Assets will automatically be calculated and displayed
at the bottom of the page.

Step Seven — Enter liabilities
• From the drop-down menu, select the applicable Liability Type
such as Mortgage, Bank Loan, Credit Card.
• The Institution Name field refers to where the liability is held.
• Indicate the Monthly Payments and the Total Amount of
the outstanding liability.
• Click on the Add button to save the liability. To include additional liabilities,
simply repeat the above steps.
All liabilities for which borrowers are entirely or partially responsible must
be disclosed.
TIP: Total amounts and Declared Net Worth will automatically be calculated and displayed at the bottom of the page.
Step Eight — Provide any other instructions
• Use the Other tab to provide additional loan information and/or
special instructions.
TIP: The History tab will be displayed as soon as the application is saved. This tab provides a detailed record of the loan status, including the user’s first
and last name and the current status of an application.

Step Nine — Submit the application
To complete the process, click on each of the following buttons:
• Save — use this feature to prevent loss of any data if you are unable to
complete the loan application in one session. A confirmation of the status
and a new EASE transaction number will be displayed in the upper-left
corner of your screen.
• Inputs Are Complete — Verify that all the required fields have been filled
in correctly. An error message will appear at the bottom of your screen for
any missed fields.
TIP: If you would like to switch programs without losing all the data entered (for example, switching from the B2B Bank Standard Loan Program to the B2B Bank
Select Loan Program), click on the Program Switch button. This functionality is no longer available once the application has been submitted for credit review.

Step Ten — Submit the application
To complete the process, click on each of the following buttons:
• Print Loan Forms — Review the printed paper version for accuracy.
Both you and your client must sign the application.
• Submit For Credit Review — Review the checklist requirements and
confirm each requirement has been obtained. This is the final step.
Ensure the application has been accurately completed.
Changes cannot be made once it has been submitted.
The application process is now complete. You will receive an email notification
from B2B Bank confirming the status of the application.
TIP: The EASE transaction number identifies your client’s loan application. Please take note of this number as it must be included on all mailed
documentation. You can also use this number to perform searches on EASE.

Final confirmation
You will receive an email and/or fax from B2B Bank confirming that the loan has been funded. Verify the details of the funded loan confirmation for accuracy.
