The Placement:
This exciting placement opportunity will be a great challenge for a design related
degree student who has strong communication skills and comprehensive computer
skills including web design and digital art/photographic skills.
With excellent English skills and your ability to work on your own initiative, you will
support the delivery of commercial in house design services, mainly relating to PR
consultancy services for the medical industry to obtain commercial outcomes. You
will also be responsible for the delivery of other projects, including the maintenance
and development of the corporate website and the quarterly newsletter.

GERMAN/Graphic Design
The Host Company:
The company was formed 10 years ago by a collection of people experienced in
education, design and the print industry to provide design and print solutions for
schools. They have become a leading supplier of fully customised student
planners, academic diaries as well as yearbooks. Last academic year they
produced over 500,000 fully customised planners! In 2003 the company entered
the German market and due to their success they are now looking to expand
further into the German market.
This placement is a very exciting opportunity for students with NATIVE GERMAN
language skills and a keen interest in DESIGN!
The Placement:
This placement is PERFECT to experienced students with a fluent command of
English. With your graphic design skills, you will be responsible for assisting in the
production and design of student planners as well as the relevant marketing
materials.
With a natural flair and genuine interest in commercial design, you must be creative
and flexible with good communication skills to function as part of this team.
Experience of the following programmes is necessary:
ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP, IMPRESSION and ARTWORKS.
QUARK
XPRESS,
Given all the skills mentioned above, you will be a great asset to the company and

The Ideal Student:
MUST have FLUENT English and NATIVE German language skills;
Good knowledge of German CULTURE necessary;
Educated in Graphic Design;
Experience of the following programmes: QUARK XPRESS, ILLUSTRATOR,
PHOTOSHOP, IMPRESSION, ARTWORKS;
Organised, innovative, creative, independent, confident and flexible;
Ability to use own initiative and strong communication skills are essential;
Own TRANSPORT could be advantageous;
Accommodation expenses will be paid for by the host company.
