soporta. El amor jamás se extingue.” (1 Corintios 13:48)
Además, Juan 3:16 enseña: “Porque tanto amó Dios al

Message from your 6 month old
Spiritually Adopted Baby
“I’m sitting up straight now!” Thank you
for your prayers!
I’m
6
months old now. I just opened my
eyes. Before today they were sealed
shut for protection. I wonder what you
look like. I can hear sounds, too! It’s
great to have someone praying for me.
Love,
Your Spiritually Adopted Baby
We are now at the end of the second
trimester! Your spiritually adopted baby now weighs
almost two pounds. Thank you for your prayers! She
sits up straight now to accommodate her internal organs
which have moved into their final place in her little
body. Babies born prematurely at this time have a very
good chance of surviving. The medical advances in
caring for extremely small newborn infants are
extraordinary indeed. Don’t forget to pray
for your baby. Abortion is legal through all nine months
and her mom might still feel pressure to abort. If you
would like information about spiritually adopting a preborn baby, please contact Denise Blair-Nellies from the
Respect Life Committee at 410-795-6852.
Parish Life
STAND Training Shield the Vulnerable
All volunteers (ages 18 or older) for the school and
parish will need to complete the STAND process before
beginning their volunteer service. This process is now
online through Shield the Vulnerable – a compliance
management system that will allow all parishes and
schools to facilitate compliance with archdiocesan child
protection requirements for all volunteers who work
with minors, employees, and clergy. Step-by-step
instructions are available on the parish website at:
http://www.shgparish.org/stand.aspx. Many have asked
how long it takes to be STAND approved. There is a
minimum processing time of 3-4 weeks for all new
volunteers and 2-3 weeks for volunteers seeking
renewal. After completing this process and/or should
you have any questions, please contact Mary Lee
McCusker at [email protected] or 410-8336877.
Coffee House
Spring is here! Let’s celebrate by enjoying Sacred
Heart’s Coffee House again, or for the first time!
Couples for Christ are hosting our next Coffee House on
Sunday, April 2, 2017 after the 9:00 AM & 10:30 AM
Masses in the Mother Seton Room. (Please note that
there is no longer a Coffee House after the 7:30 AM
Mass.) We have a selection of donuts, juice, hot
chocolate, milk, tea, chai, and the all-important coffees,
including regular, decaf, lattes, and cappuccinos. Come
after Mass or Religious Education classes and meet old
friends or make new ones. All are welcome. Hope to
see you there.
