indoor track and field season... recorded a personalbest 59-2 1/4 (18.04) in the shot put at the Texas A&M Challenge... capped his outdoor season with All-America accolades in discus with a throw of Before Nebraska (Calabar HS) Wright is the most recent addition to the Husker program from Calabar High School in Kingston, Jamaica, following former Husker and 2009 indoor long jump champion Nicholas Gordon... one of the top junior throwers in Jamaica, as he holds national junior records in the shot put and discus... placed fifth at the 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships in the discus and finished 14th in the shot put... swept the shot and discus at the 2010 Jamaican Junior Championships with throws of 200-4 (61.06) and 61-11 (18.87) using junior implements... mark in the shot put set the Jamaican junior record... competed at the senior championships and held his own with a fourth-place finish in the shot (52-5, 15.97) and broke the national junior record in the discus with a second-place toss of 179-4 (54.66)... added discus titles at the 2010 Carifta Games and Penn Relays... threw 207-0 (63.09) with a 1.75 kg discus at the Carifta Games and then tossed 191-11 (58.49) two weeks later in Philadelphia, Pa., with a 1.6 kg implement... chose Nebraska over LSU.
