In Spring, 2014, the La Vega Independent School District developed the La Vega Early College High School (LVECHS).
This unique school is specifically designed to provide students the opportunity to begin college during the ninth grade.
This school redefines the typical comprehensive high school experience by providing a school-within-a-school setting
housed within La Vega High Sc hool. This program enables students to progress seamlessly from the ninth grade
through the first two years of college earning both their high school Distinguished Diploma and their Associates Degree
and/or required certifications.

received after the deadline will be processed and placed directly on the wait list. Students who
qualify and submit completed applications by the deadline will be placed into a lottery for admissions
consideration.

Please include copies of all paperwork from the current and previous school year concerning any of the following. If this
does not apply, please write “n/a” in the spaces provided. In order to properly serve our students, we cannot accept
documentation after the start of school.
FOR 9TH GRADE ADMISSION:

A copy of all district and state achievement test scores for the 7th grade year.
