Child Safety
Dear Parents,
Your child’s safety is our biggest concern at preschool! Please supervise your children once they have been dismissed from their classroom.
Children may not be left alone in a car; we are obligated to report this
as child neglect. If you have a sibling that is sick in the car, give us a
call and we can walk your child out to you. The Fairfax County guidelines read that “no child under the age of seven should be left alone;
this includes being left unattended in cars.” The parking lot is a very
dangerous area and children need to be supervised at all times. We
recommend that you take your children to a nearby playground if you
wish to continue playing after school is over. You are welcome to use
our playground when other classes are not present.

Lunch Bunch
Stay and Play with us at Lunch Bunch! Do you
need time to get errands done? Your child is
welcome to join us from 12:00 to 2:00 Monday
through Thursday. The children enjoy time to play with their friends!
Take an envelope from the preschool office door and fill it out and enclose $8 per hour. Your child must be three years old and potty
trained. Thank you for submitting your reservations by Friday of the
week before staying.

No Masks

No Weapons (Guns, Swords, etc.).

Children must be able to get out of the costume to use the bathroom.

The parade starts promptly (weather permitting). Be EARLY!

The parade starts at the front doors and works around the front of the building and back to the Kiss and Ride
doors.


Inclement Weather Policy
Please go to www.fcps.edu and check the tab “EMERGENCIES” to check for school closings. We
follow the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) closings.
If FCPS is closed, our school is closed and there is no Lunch Bunch
If FCPS has a 2-hour delay, all classes will start at 10am. Lunch Bunch will meet on time.
If FCPS closes early, morning classes will meet as scheduled, but there will be no Lunch Bunch and
no Awesome Authors or Everyday Explorers.
Lord of Life Preschool does not provide monetary refunds or credit
for days lost due to inclement weather. Should FCPS add school days
that fall within our established calendar year, the preschool will add
the same days (if the preschool has missed days), but will retain the
right to determine which classes will attend those make-up days
based on what class days were missed.
