How to Correct All Day Events in Outlook 1. Open Outlook. 2. Click on the Calendar button in the Outlook Shortcuts bar on the left side of the screen (circled in red in the screenshot). 3. Find an all day event on your calendar. You will see that it now incorrectly spans two days on the calendar (as shown in the screenshot below). This is because Outlook stores all day events as a 24 hour time block from 12 am – 12am and your appointment has now shifted to 1 am – 1 am. 4. Select from your calendar an all day event that you created or organized by double clicking on it. 5. The following steps are different depending on the version of Microsoft Office that is installed. Office XP 1. When looking at the details for the all day event you should see a check box that says “All day event” and it should already be checked. Uncheck the box. 2. Exact start and end times for the event should now be showing. However, we do not want to modify the times. Click the check box next to “All day event”. Click “Save and Close”. Office2003 1. When looking at the details for the all day event, you should see a check box that says “All day event” and it should be unchecked. The start and end times for the event should be displayed. 2. Change the start time of the event to 12:00 AM. You should notice that the end time automatically adjusts to 12:00 AM of the next day. Click Save and Close.
